The First Day

Proper aftercare is crucial to ensuring the longevity and vibrancy of your new tattoo. Immediately after getting a tattoo, your artist will apply a thin layer of ointment and cover it with a bandage or plastic wrap. This is to protect your tattoo from bacteria and other harmful elements. It's important to keep the bandage on for at least two hours to allow the tattoo to properly settle. Once the bandage is removed, gently wash your tattoo with warm water and mild soap. Avoid using extremely hot water or scrubbing the tattoo too hard, as this can cause irritation and damage to the tattooed area.

Healing Process

After washing your tattoo, pat it dry with a clean towel or cloth. Avoid rubbing or scratching the tattooed area, as this can cause scabbing and peeling. Apply a thin layer of fragrance-free and alcohol-free healing balm. It's important to choose a balm that doesn't contain any fragrances or alcohol, as these can cause irritation and dry out the skin. Gently massage the balm into the tattooed area, ensuring that it's fully absorbed. Repeat this process 2-3 times a day for the first few weeks after getting your tattoo.
